Islamic Social Sciences Forum to host 3rd Int’l Conference on Divine Economics from May 5 to May in Muzaffarabad
MUZAFFARABAD, May 02 (SABAH): The Third International Conference on Divine Economics, hosted by the Hadi Foundation’s Islamic Social Sciences Forum, is anticipated to bring significant changes to the world of economics. The conference will take place in the capital city of Azad Jammu and Kashmir from May 5 to May 7.
The event aims to challenge the conventional approach to economics by exploring the role of religion, ethics, values, and spirituality in the economy and society.
The conference will provide a unique platform for prominent researchers, academicians, and experts from around the world to present their latest findings and challenge Western economic theory, which neglects the importance of religion, ethics, and values in economic ideas. The University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, State and other banks, financial institutions, and AERC are among the organizations collaborating in organizing the event.
The opening session of the conference will be chaired by the Vice-Chancellor of UAJK, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kaleem Abbasi, and attended by distinguished guests, including Qasim Nawaz, Executive Director of the State Bank of Pakistan. Renowned researchers and prominent academicians from various countries have confirmed their participation, and arrangements are being made to host people from all walks of life, including students, post-graduates, and faculty members.
Dr. Syed Nisar Hussain Hamdani, the Chairman of the Islamic Social Sciences Forum, Hadi Foundation, expressed his gratitude to Vice-Chancellor UAJK, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kaleem Abbasi, for his cooperation in organizing this conference. Dr. Hamdani emphasized that the conference would play a vital role in promoting Islamic social sciences and integrating religion, ethics, and values into the economy. He further criticized Western economic theory, which separates religion, morality, and spirituality from the economy, stating that religion, ethics, and values should be an integral part of economic ideas, as the economy and society are one.
