Islam doesn’t oppose modern education, instead it encourages for literacy, research, progress: Engr Hafiz Naeemur Rehman


KARACHI, Oct 30 (SABAH): Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi chief Engr Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has made it clear that Islam doesn’t oppose the modern education, instead it encourages people for literacy, research and progress.

Engr Hafiz Naeemur Rehman expressed these views while addressing a three-day workshop for female students, held at Idara Noor-e-Haq, the JI Karachi Headquarters by Islami Jamiat Taalbat.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that Islam is a complete code of life and provides guidelines for all spheres of life.

Contrary to the capitalism that deepens the line between rich and poor people by facilitating rich people to become more and more richer and pushing poor people towards extreme poverty, he said, adding that Islam doesn’t encourages people to become poor or helpless but wants everyone to progress with the support of a social system.

He further said that Islamic system of governance ensures equal educational opportunities for all.

The JI leader urged the female students to focus on their studies and play their due role for the society as well. He encouraged them to preach Islam and the need for an Islamic system of governance in the society.

Talking about the political arena, Engr Hafiz Naeemur Rehman quoted some reliable polls showing that the popularity of the JI has been increasing tremendously in the society.

JI women wing leader Asma Safeer and others also addressed the convention. A large number of female students from colleges, universities and other professional institutes attended the event.
