Iranian Headquarters of Arbaeen takes measures to welcome visitors from Pakistan on the eve of Muharram & Safar

TEHRAN, June 28 (SABAH): As the mourning days of Hussain ibn Ali (a.s.) approaches and people are preparing to visit Holy Shrines of Mashhad and Iraq, the Iranian Headquarters of Arbaeen, in order to welcome visitors from other countries, especially the friendly and brotherly country of Pakistan, has taken different measures some the most important of which are as follows.

As in previous years, the Iranian Arbaeen Headquarters located in Sistan and Baluchistan province, has provided the necessary facilities to welcome visitors at the common borders of Iran and Pakistan.

According to the practice of the past years, the pilgrims of Imam Reza (a.s.) will be able to go on pilgrimage in the month of Muharram.

Those who are interested in pilgrimage to the Holy Shrines, in the first decade of Muharram from June 27 to July 8, 2024, can travel to Iraq through Iran with a valid double-entry visa.

Those who intend to participate in the Arbaeen Procession from July 9 to August 22, 2024, with a valid Iraqi visa can travel to Iraq through Iran with an Iranian double-entry visa.

To respect the requirements of the friendly and brotherly government of Iraq, which is due to the overcrowding of pilgrims at the common borders, the Iranian Arbaeen Headquarters, requires Pakistani pilgrims to take Iraqi visa and then apply for Iranian visa in the five Iranian missions in the cities of Islamabad, Peshawar, Lahore, Karachi and Quetta.

The visa applicants can apply for Iranian visa and receive it in any five missions of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Pakistan according to the regulations.

All the caravan owners are requested to move the caravan by bus from the departure (Pakistan) to Iran and Iraq for the further convenience of the pilgrims.

The Iranian Headquarters of Arbaeen tries to provide the necessary facilities for the passage of buses carrying pilgrims on the way from Iran to the Iraqi border.
