Int’l Palestine Solidarity Day should be observed: Liaqat Baloch

TEHRAN, June 2 (SABAH): Naib Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Liaqat Baloch while addressing at International Conference on Gaza Resistance in Tehran, Iran, said that the cruel Israel has destroyed the entire Gaza Strip and turned it into a ruin.

Liaqat Baloch said that 2.3 million people are homeless, deprived of food, medicine and basic necessities. The recent Israeli bombardment on refugee camps in Rafah, the martyrdom of innocent children, women, men and the burning of their tents and the latest incidents of brutality by the Zionist army in Jabalia is a slap in the face of humanity, he added.

He said more than 36,000 Palestinians have been martyred, while more than 81,000 have been injured in the brutal Israeli operations against the people of Gaza and Palestine for the past 238 days. All international organizations, including the United Nations, international human rights organizations, and the International Court of Justice, are helpless in the face of this Israeli Zionist brutality and massacre against the Palestinians, he added.

Liaqat Baloch said that Israel has trashed UN resolutions, International Court of Justice decisions. Peace-loving people, students and students around the world are constantly protesting against the worst Israeli oppression on Gaza, but the illegitimate Zionist state is not ready to accept any international pressure and demand, he added.

Liaqat Baloch said that the role of the Islamic Republic of Iran and its solidarity and cooperation with the people of Palestine and Gaza is enviable in this atmosphere of general coldness and indifference of the rulers of the Muslim Ummah. He said in recent days, the Islamic Republic of Iran has sacrificed its best leadership while helping the people of Gaza and Palestine, among which the martyrdom of President Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister is the biggest tragedy.

Liaqat Baloch informed the participants of the conference that Jamaat-e-Islami has undertaken to support its Palestinian brothers. Through Alkhidmat Foundation, thousands of tons of relief goods and medicines were delivered to Gaza for the people, he said and added our medical teams are also always busy serving our Palestinian brothers and sisters.

He said that Israel is an illegitimate state and added “Appreciate the worldwide demonstrations in solidarity with the oppressed Palestinians.” He said that South Africa proved its humanitarianism by filing a case against Israeli aggression and genocide of Palestinians in the International Court of Justice.  Demonstrations of students in universities around the world in condemnation of Israel and the rights of the people of Palestine and Gaza, beyond their religious affiliation are praiseworthy and a lesson for the American and European rulers, he added.

Liaqat Baloch proposed that the conference should declare a day as the International Day of Solidarity with the people of Palestine and allocate a day for the children of the whole world to express their solidarity with the children of the people of Gaza. He hoped God willing, the sun of Palestine’s freedom will surely rise. The conference was chaired by Imam Khomeini’s grandson. Political and religious leaders, scholars and leaders, thinkers, intellectuals, who have a close eye on the situation in the Middle East attended the conference.
