Interest free loans provided to 34 persons under Mawakhat Program of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan
LAHORE, May 30 (SABAH): Interest free loans were provided to 34 persons under Mawakhat Program of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan on Monday. The interest free loans have been provided under the Mawakhat Program of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan to hardworking people for starting new small businesses or for expansion of ongoing business.
The ceremony which was held at the office of the Alkhidmat Foundation Lahore was attended by National Director Mawakhat Program Mian Babar Hameed, President Alkhidmat Foundation Lahore Engineer Hammad Rashid, Executive Director Mughees Shahid Qureshi and other office-bearers. During the ceremony cheques of interest free loans were distributed among the 34 deserving people.
While addressing the ceremony Mian Babar Hameed said that under the Mawakhat Program of the Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan interest free loans according to Islamic way are provided to the deserving and hardworking people so that they should ensure better sources of income instead of seeking help from others in the difficult economic circumstances. He said that during the last year Rs 51.7 million was distributed among 1311 persons. He said that so far Rs 276.2 million have been provided to 9830 people in form of interest free loans. He said that beside this the loans are also provided under the Mawakhat Program to widow women under Mothers and Childcare Program enabling the widow women to stand on their own feet.
Other speakers also addressed the ceremony and appreciated the services of the Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan for the suffering humanity.
