Instead of enjoying power, coalition govt should find a solution to political, economic, uncertainty & growing despair crises: Liaqat Baloch
RAWALPINDI/LAHORE, Oct 31 (SABAH): Naib Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, Liaqat Baloch has said that instead of enjoying power, the coalition government should find a solution to the political, economic, dissatisfaction, uncertainty and growing despair crises .
Liaqat Baloch addressed the dignified farewell ceremony of Jamaat-e-Islami media secretary Malik Muhammad Azam’s relinquishing from his duties due to ill health. He also spoke to journalists and addressed a political consultative meeting in Mansoorah on Thursday.
He said that the federal government has done nothing but foreign visits, happy announcements, fake claims and foreign investment announcements in the last 250 days. In fact, inflation, unemployment in the country, rising prices of petrol, electricity, gas and the burden of unbearable taxes are like a death sentence for the people, he added.
Liaqat Baloch said instead of solving the political instability on political grounds, the worst game is being played with the Constitution, Parliament, judiciary and democratic institutions. He said the basic structure of the Constitution cannot be changed through Constitutional amendments by coercive majority. Instead of enjoying power, the coalition government should find a solution to the political, economic and dissatisfaction, uncertainty and growing poverty crises, he added.
Liaqat Baloch said that independence of judiciary, distribution of powers between the federation and the provinces and the running of the administrative system are the basic and essential structures of the Constitution. He noted 26th Constitutional Amendment is malicious, full of defects and it is totally based on division of judiciary and is a killer of judicial independence.
While condemning the Israeli Zionist bombing on Gaza and Lebanon and slaughter of innocent people, Liaqat Baloch questioned, “Are the United Nations, leadership and institutions of Islamic world waiting for the martyrdom of last person in Gaza and the demolition of last building.”
He said the leadership of Islamic world should take immediate steps to end this war based on martyring Muslims, otherwise further delay will lead to further destruction, disgrace and slavery for the whole world of Islam, adding the new generation of Millat-e-Islamia should not be pushed into slavery.
