Insolence in honor of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) unbearable, Kashmiri Muslims should protest tomorrow after Friday prayers: Fareeda Bahenjee

SRINAGAR, June 06 (SABAH): Senior leader of All Parties Hurriyat Conference and Chairperson of Jammu and Kashmir Mass Movement, Fareeda Behanjee, has criticized the insulting of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) by a non-local student, studying in Government Medical College, Srinagar. Condemning the incident, the Kashmiri people have been appealed to hold massive protests across the state tomorrow (Friday) to prevent such insulting incidents in the future.

Senior leader of APHC said Kashmiri Muslims will not tolerate such insolent acts and the insolent student involved in this incident should be immediately arrested and severely punished. Mere suspension of the student from the college is not enough.

In a statement released on Thursday, Fareeda Behanjee said that the religious sentiments of Kashmiri Muslims have been hurt by this incident of Medical College Srinagar and such insulting incidents are not acceptable for Kashmiri Muslims. The senior Hurriyat leader said that the extremist Hindu government of India is trying to hurt the religious sentiments of the Muslims of Kashmir under a premeditated guise., and various restrictions are imposed on Kashmiri Muslims, sometimes mosques are locked and sometimes Kashmiri Muslims are banned from religious processions. And they will not tolerate insolence or insult to their religion, especially in honor of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and they will be ready to sacrifice their lives for it.

She urged the Indian puppet administration to immediately arrest the insolent criminal student and give him severe punishment so that no one dares to do such an act in the future. Kashmiri leader appealed the Kashmiri Muslims to protest against this insulting incident in the entire state by holding demonstrations outside their respective mosques after Friday prayers.
