Inland study tour of 38th MCMC, NIM Peshawar to BISP Headquarters

ISLAMABAD, Nov 07 (SABAH): Secretary Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) Amer Ali Ahmad has said that BISP is world known social safety net which is providing financial support to 9.3 million households under its Kafaalat initiative, and in addition, it also extends stipends to 8.2 Million school going children and Nashonuma support to 1.22 million, among these beneficiaries, without any discrimination.

The Secretary BISP shared this with a delegation of National Institute of Management (NIM), Peshawar who visited BISP Headquarters on Tuesday. Two faculty members and 18 participants from the 38th Mid-Career Management Course (MCMC) participated in this visit to the BISP Headquarters.

It was explained that BISP follows an inclusive policy to identify beneficiary families and is introducing skill development programs for the children of BISP beneficiaries.

In addition, Additional Secretary Dr. Muhammad Tahir Noor, provided an in-depth overview of BISP and its core initiatives, which encompass Kafaalat, Taleemi Wazaif, Nashounuma, Undergraduate Scholarship, and the National Socio-Economic Registry. Payment mechanism for BISP beneficiaries was explained and the challenges faced by the organization were also discussed.
