Industrial estate on Ring Road is a need of the hour: Sheikh Asif Idrees
ISLAMABAD, Nov 29 (SABAH): President of Chamber of Small Traders and Small Industries Sheikh Asif Idrees has said that industrial estate on Ring Road is a need of the hour, adding that the Rawalpindi is Islamabad Gateway. He said that problems should be solved in this regard, adding that an industrial estate has been completed in which no glorious trader or small industrialist can do business but the cost is very high. He said that it is imperative to set up an industrial estate near the road which can benefit small traders and small scale industries. The government should take immediate steps to this end.
He expressed these views while congratulating the newly elected members of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Chairman Chamber of Small Traders and Small Industry Nadeem Sheikh, Senior Vice President Chaudhry Muhammad Akram, Vice President Asiullah Khokhar, Member Executive Body Tariq Jadoon, Sajid Hassan Butt, Sardar Saqib were also present on the occasion. Industry congratulated newly elected President Shakeel Munir, Senior Vice President Jamshed Sheikh, Ninth President Muhammad Fahim.
Sheikh Asif Idrees, President of the Islamabad Chamber, expressed concern over rising inflation, prices of petroleum products and taxes in the country and said that the government should reconsider the prices of petroleum products. Both the chambers agreed that the Chamber from Rawalpindi’s platform to government houses, the growing population in the Rawalpindi twin cities and the lack of traffic and parking arrangements are causing problems for the common man and business people. If the expressway is constructed, it will reduce the traffic congestion.
Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry President-elect Shabbir Munir thanked the guests and assured his full cooperation and said that Chairman R Talk to DA and Ministry of Industry officials. He said that it has become necessary to set up an industrial estate near Ring Road, which would increase business activities and all grain markets within the city, including transportation, should be shifted to small industrial units where all the facilities for one-window operation are required. When an industrial estate is created here, not only will businesses grow, but it will also be possible to eliminate unemployment. People will move here in search of jobs.
