Indian participants refuse to attend debate on Kashmir issue on the pretext of participation of Dr. Muzzammal Ayyub Thakur
LONDON, Nov 02 (SABAH): Indian participants have refused to attend the debate on Kashmir issue hosted by Oxford Union Society on the pretext of participation of young Kashmiri leader Dr. Muzzammal Ayyub Thakur.
The program scheduled to be held on 14th November, 2024, at Oxford University’s Union, will be addressed by Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, British-Pakistani Labour Party member of parliament Naz Shah and Justice Foundation and the Kashmir Freedom Movement head Dr. Muzzammal Ayyub Thakur.
The Kashmir Files director, Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, TV9 Network’s Executive Editor Aditta Raj Kaul and ex-Indian army major Gaurav Arya have refused to attended the program on the pretext of participation of Dr. Muzzammal Ayyub Thakur.
Dr. Muzzammal Ayyub Thakur wrote on social media “Oxford University’s Union will be hosting a debate on #Kashmir. Once Muzzammil Ayyub Thakur’s name was released to the #India team, they withdrew from the debate. It takes courage to face the truth. Time to eviscerate #BJP #Indian propaganda”.
It is worth mentioning here that the Oxford Union Society, commonly referred to as the Oxford Union, is a debating society in the city of Oxford, England, whose membership is drawn primarily from the University of Oxford.
