India should read writing on the wall that State’s people would continue their struggle for freedom till achievement of goal: United Jihad Council

MUZAFFARABAD, Jan 4 (SABAH): United Jihad Council Jammu and Kashmir while demanding right of self determination for Kashmiri people has said that India should read writing on the wall that State’s people would continue their struggle for freedom till the achievement of the goal.

It was also cleared during a meeting headed by Chairman United Jihad Council Syed Salahuddin Ahmed that some silly and go-getters wanted to ignore the Kashmir conflict on the name of discussion, people contacts and trade. Such people should understand that Kashmiri people would not allow anyone to waste the sacrifices made by them.

During the meeting, the participants prayed for those who sacrificed their lives and reiterated that struggle would be continued at all fronts for freedom till the achievement of the goal. On January 5, 1949, a resolution for self-determination for Kashmiris in the United Nations Commission was approved that decision of State of Jammu and Kashmir would be done in the light of will of Kashmiri people.

In the meeting, it was cleared that though the resolution was approved unanimously but the people who were responsible for implementing this resolution did not implement it due to which 0.5 million people have sacrificed their lives since then. Millions of Kashmiris were forced to migrate while the Indian forces are continuing barbaric acts in the held valley so that the Kashmiri people could be forced to leave their struggle for freedom but still this freedom is underway.

India is settling people of other states in the state of Occupied Kashmir but all such act will go waste. It was also cleared during the meeting that the apathy showed by the United Nations towards the dispute could prove dangerous as it can affect peace of the region which could affect peace of the world.
