India one of history’s dark occupation-neo colonial power in J&K since 1947: Farooq Rehmani


ISLAMABAD, August 05 (SABAH): Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, Chairman J&K People’s Freedom League and ex-Convener All Parties Hurriyat Conference AJ&K Chapter, while calling India one of history’s dark occupation-neo colonial power in Jammu and Kashmir since 1947, has said she has squeezed the State and its inhabitants, put all the leaders , political workers and civil society members in different high security prisons across India and Jammu and Kashmir, making the entire region a vast prison, implicating youth in fake criminal cases, imposing dreadful and illegal restrictions on the press, platform and social net- work, and confiscating hereditary properties of the owners, dismissing government servants from their jobs in pursuance of its unlawful design under the 5 August, 2019 declaration of dismemberment and merger of the Occupied State in India.

Muhammad Farooq Rehmani condemned India’s latest step to confer citizenship and land ownership rights on the West Pakistan refugees of 1947 and granting illegal domicile certificates to many illegal occupants from the Indian states and construction of the Maharashtra House in Budgam area over a large part of land in the district to advance its settler-colonial policy in her persistent and continously violation of the international law and the UNCIP resolutions on Jammu and Kashmir.

He said that there was no peace, no rule of law and no peaceful atmosphere in the Occupied State of Jammu and Kashmir and State’s majority Muslim population and their religious traditions, laws and culture including their education were in danger,  while the establishment of Delhi in Srinagar were involved in day to day implementation of anti-Kashmir laws and rules of procedure were made , reviewed and tune in an arbitrary manner to deprive the fragmented state of its historical status and demographic identity. He warned clouds of war were hovering over the region as a result of lull before storm. Therefore, Muhammad Farooq Rehmani urged on the UN Secretay General to take notice of India’s illegal and arbitrary laws and steps in Jammu and Kashmir, prevent her from further escalations of the situation and depute a fact finding deputation to Srinagar and Jammu to collect on the spot evidence of international rights violations by a member of the UN after scrapping the Article 370 and 35A on August 2019
