India can’t achieve evil designs through shame polls: Mushaal
ISLAMABAD, Sep 26 (SABAH): Mushaal Hussein Mullick, wife of illegally incarcerated Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Yasin Malik, called upon the notorious Indian government to stop staging the drama of shame elections, as New Delhi could not attain its nefarious objective through such shameful tactics come what may.
Mushaal, who is also a Chairperson of Peace and Culture Organisation, made these remarks while speaking to media after chairing a meeting of Kashmir Committee. Kashmir Committee Chairman Qasim Noon, APHC Convenor Ghulam Mohammad Safi and Sabien Hussein Mullick were also present on the occasion.
She appreciated the Kashmir Committee for highlighting the Kashmir issue in befitting manner. Mushaal made it clear that the UNSC Resolution No 91 (1951) clearly stated that no elections in Indian Kashmir can be an alternative to UN administered plebiscite; hence India should end the drama and work towards the election.
She said that with entire Kashmiri leadership was in prison, thus who would accept this election in the world. The chairperson maintained that high voter turnout drama has been repeated many times in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) but the ground situation speaks otherwise, as people were coercive and intimidated to vote.
The senior hurriyat leader stated that IIOJK Assembly was no more than a Municipal Committee because all powers have been taken away from it. She went on to say that India had taken western diplomats on a recreation tour to IIOJK; this was a replica of October 2019; when EU MPs were taken to IIOJK to show the world that everything is normal.
“Western diplomats are bound by diplomatic norms; they cannot refuse an invite not can they criticize the host nation in public,” she added. The Chairperson said that India was exploiting diplomatic compulsions of the diplomats; if it really wanted to legitimize its elections, then it should have invited UN Election Observers and credible international organisations like Amnesty International.
She stated that India has given FIRs against Amnesty International Officials to harass and intimidate them, which speaks volumes about their conduct. Mushaal said that India has become a rouge state and it is becoming a threat to regional peace but ironically it is immune to international criticism just like Nazi Germany in 1930s.
She alarmed that if the world did not stop India, it would put at risk not only the peace in South Asia but the entire world; therefore it was high time to rein in the monster before it was too late.
