Independence Week held at Community Centres of Alkhidmat Foundation Women Wing Trust Lahore culminates

LAHORE, Aug 20 (SABAH): Program pertaining to Independence Week held in connection with Independence Day August 14, at Community Centres of Alkhidmat Foundation Women Wing Trust Lahore.

Independence Week aimed at inculcating awareness among the children regarding reasons of celebrating Independence Day and advantages of independence.

Addressing the conclusion program, Education Program Manager Sumera Chapra stated that children are future of the country as they are supposed to rein in its all matters. “We have to create awareness among the children about the blessings of freedom and that how many sacrifices were presented by our old women and youths for the achievement of freedom,” she remarked.

During the Independence Week, Sumera Chapra stated lectures were delivered on the topic of Independence Day and our responsibilities while the children delivered national anthem and speeches. “Enthusiasm of all the children was palpable. After playing the national anthem, the participants prayed for the stability of the country. Gifts were also distributed among children and teachers,” she added.
