In order to get the country out of crises, all the stakeholders have to abide by the constitutional limits: Liaqat Baloch
ISLAMABAD, Nov 21 (SABAH): Naib Emir Jamaat-e-Islami and former parliamentary leader, Liaqat Baloch has said that all stakeholders have to abide by the constitutional limits to get the country out of crisis and the national political and democratic leadership should also engage in political dialogue instead of expecting from the establishment.
Talking to the political consultative meeting in Islamabad and Rawalpindi, Ambassador Abdul Basit and Khursheed Ahmed (Wing Commander) said that to get the country and the nation out of crises, all stakeholders have to abide by constitutional limits while recognizing the supremacy of law.
Instability will not end by undermining the sanctity of the constitution, independent judiciary, elections and votes, he said, and added on other side the terrorism is becoming a threat to national security.
He said that the Jamaat-e-Islami is struggling for a stable political system based on Islamic ideology, supremacy of constitution and law and independent judiciary.
Patriotic ex-servicemen and civil service officers should dialogue with their communities and recognize the importance of the Constitution in the light of their experiences, he stressed. The national political democratic leadership should have a political dialogue instead of placing expectations on the establishment, he added.
Condemning the terrorist attack on Bannu check post, Liaqat Baloch said that continuous terrorism against security forces and institutions is a plan to destabilize Pakistan.
Anti-Pakistan forces are pursuing their evil agenda, while those responsible for taking Pakistan on the path of stability and development and freeing the people from economic uncertainty are at odds with each other, he mourned.
The martyrdoms of the security forces are great sacrifices for the nation, he said. In order to protect people’s life and property and national security and to get rid of all kinds of terrorism, it is necessary to create a national consensus on the national action plan, he stressed.
Liaqat Baloch while talking to journalists said that protest is the constitutional democratic right of political parties, especially the opposition. It is also very clear that protest is a means of expressing one’s position and conscience, but political crises will be resolved only through political measures, he said. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf has the right to peaceful political protest, he added.
