In an attempt to free the Israeli prisoners by force, the coffins will return: Al-Qassam Brigade Spokesman

GAZA, Sep 03 (SABAH): Abu Obeida, the spokesman of the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), Izzedin al-Qassam Brigade, has warned that if Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu tries to free the Israeli prisoners by military force, the coffins of the living prisoners will be returned.

He said that al-Qassam has issued new instructions to the guards in charge of monitoring the Zionist prisoners of war that if the Israeli forces reach the detention centers, Israel will be held responsible for dealing with them. These instructions have been issued after the recent killing of six prisoners, but the further nature of these instructions could not be clarified.

Through the Telegram application, Abu Obeida stressed that the prisoners were being subjected to military pressure instead of an agreement. Insisting on freeing the prisoners would mean prisoners would go to their coffins instead of being returned alive to their families, he noted.

He blamed Netanyahu and the military for the killing of prisoners held in the Gaza Strip for deliberate disruption of any prisoner exchange agreement. Abu Obeidah also accused the Israeli authorities of deliberately killing dozens of prisoners during the bombing of Gaza. Netanyahu had said that Hamas warriors shot six prisoners in the back of the head when they came out of a tunnel.

Meanwhile the leader of the Islamic resistance movement Hamas, Mahmoud al-Mardawi said that the terms of Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu will be removed from the ongoing negotiations for a cease-fire in Gaza. In the agreement, measures will be taken according to the Palestinian people.

In an interview with Al Jazeera TV, al-Mardawi emphasized that the release of Israeli prisoners in the Gaza Strip would only happen through a prisoner exchange agreement.

“The resistance forces have made it clear that there will be no ceasefire until the last Israeli soldier returns from Gaza,” he added. Hamas has communicated this to both Qatar and Egypt which are the mediators.

He described the release of Israeli prisoners through military action as an abject failure and accused Netanyahu of obstructing all proposals and obstructing an exchange agreement. Al-Mardawi threatened, “Netanyahu will be broken and he will be forced to kneel before us. We will force him to act according to our will and he will not be able to achieve any of his nefarious goals.” In a message to Washington, he said the war is putting strategic interests of the US in danger.

He said that Netanyahu is pushing the region towards a regional war. The Hamas leader also sent a message to the families of the Israeli prisoners and said that everyone is watching how Netanyahu wants to kill the prisoners.
