Imran Khan stooped to level where he is apologizing to his opponents, following failure of his threatening strategy: Sherry Rehman

ISLAMABAD, August 19 (SABAH): Federal Minister for Climate Change Senator Sherry Rehman has said that former premier and Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has stooped to the level where he is apologizing to his opponents,  following the failure of his threatening strategy.

Sherry Rehman expressed these views in her statement issued on Twitter on Friday. She said those who were threatening the institutions with dire consequences have resorted to requesting them to revisit their policy. Imran Khan during his tenure of government misused his power as well as the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), she said.

She said those who shut the accountability bureau in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and targeted only his opponents, say that the NAB was not under their control.

She said that those who were involved in interrogation of others now say that they are not answerable before the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) whereas during the previous government several political leaders including Asif Ali Zardari and Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif were produced before the FIA.

Sherry Rehman said that if Imran Khan has not committed any stealing then why he is scared of interrogation, adding if he has not committed any unfair act; he should not flee from the accountability. Imran Khan will have to prove that he has not committed any robbery as law is equal for all and sundry, she said, and added he should stop considering himself as king and institutions as his own property.
