Imran Khan devises new strategy on CM Punjab Pervaiz Elahi’s trust vote, PA’s dissolution
ISLAMABAD, Jan 06 (SABAH): Former prime minister and Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan on Friday devised a new strategy regarding trust vote for Punjab chief minister and dissolution of the Punjab Assembly.
Imran Khan has directed to ensure vote of confidence in favour of Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi ahead of January 11.
According to a private TV channel, Imran Khan held a meeting with a senior party leadership and was briefed about the issues of CM Elahi’s trust vote and Punjab Assembly dissolution. During the meeting it was agreed that if the Punjab Assembly was not dissolved then the members of PTI will resign.
They took stock of the prevailing situation as if the vote of confidence and dissolution of assembly were delayed then what should be the probable steps to be taken to stop the delaying tactics.
Imran Khan had agreed to party leadership that if the dissolution of assembly was delayed then their members would come out of Punjab Assembly after presenting their resignations.
Imran Khan said that PTI members didn’t want to stay at assembly any longer. Senior leadership of the party also briefed Imran about making contacts with the members of assembly and added negotiation with two independent members for their support was underway. He further directed the party to expedite the process of vote of confidence.
