Imran Khan crushed freedom of media & locked up Parliament: Marriyum Aurangzeb

ISLAMABAD, August 18 (SABAH): Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Marriyum Aurangzeb has said that former premier and Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan during his stint crushed freedom of media and locked up the Parliament.

Marriyum Aurangzeb said this while talking to media persons here on Thursday. She said that the PTI chairman economically killed media persons while using the chair of the Prime Minister and termed it a black period for media.

The minister said that Imran Khan was a corrupt, foreign agent, enemy of media and had dual standards. Media needs to decide whether to go or not for attending a seminar of those who used National Accountability Bureau (NAB) against them, she added.

Marriyum Aurangzeb said that media should decide whether to accept or not the invitation of attending the seminar of those who snatched their freedom and jobs. The Media Watch International has declared Imran Khan a fascist. This was Imran Khan who was found to be involved in breaking ribs of the journalists as well as their abduction, she added.
