Imran Khan congratulates Recept Tayyip Erdogan on re-election as Turkish President

LAHORE, May 29 (SABAH): Ex-premier and Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan congratulated Recep Tayyip Erdogan on his re-election as President of Turkiye.

Imran Khan, in a statement on Monday, said: “I would like to congratulate Erdogan on behalf of the people of my country as he is considered to be a friend of Pakistan.”

Imran Khan prayed that his fresh five years term as President will bring prosperity to the people of Turkiye.

Meanwhile in a separate statement Imran Khan said that with complete disregard for the rule of law, this fascist government – far worse than General Musharraf’s martial law, has a one point agenda which is to crush PTI.

Meanwhile, Pak economy is going into a free fall. Dollar is at Rs. 315 in the open market, while for non CNIC holders the rate is between Rs 320-325. The gap between the official rate and open market rate is Rs30/$.

Imran Khan said that this dollarization of economy means no local or foreign investment into the country, which will result into contraction of the GDP and worse, lead to hyperinflation. He said that the PDM leaders have billions of dollars stashed abroad, and understandably they are not pushed. The question is, how on earth is the Pakistani establishment allowing the country to head towards a complete economic meltdown?
