Imran Khan condemns police action against his party protestors


ISLAMABAD, May 29 (SABAH): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan on Sunday condemned the police action against his party protestors.

Former prime minister, in a tweet, said that ‘imported government’ while flouting constitution and Supreme Court of Pakistan, unleashed police brutality on our peaceful Azadi March protestors.

Imran Khan further claimed that night before PTI long march, Punjab and Sindh police violated PTI members’ homes and harassed their families.

“Condemnable & unacceptable. Flouting the Constitution & SC orders, this criminal Imported govt unleashed police brutality on our peaceful Azadi March protestors. Night before our  March, Punjab & Sindh police violated PTI mbrs homes harassing the families” Imran Khan tweeted on Sunday.

Meanwhile Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Secretary General and former minister for planning, development and special initiatives Asad Umar in a statement issued on twitter on Sunday said that history of Pakistan shows devastating consequences of attempts to suppress popular movements, thru use of force and intimidation. Asad Umar said that those short sighted men thinking they can crush the most popular mass mobilization in Pakistan history; will never be forgiven by history. Asad Umar has saluted to the marchers.
