I’m satisfied with Supreme Court’s proceedings regarding his suspension: Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui
ISLAMABAD, Jan 23 (SABAH): Former judge of Islamabad High Court (IHC) Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui has said that he is satisfied with the Supreme Court’s proceedings regarding his suspension. He said the Supreme Court has concentrated its attention towards basic points of his case which is why he hopes that decision will be made in the light of justice.
While talking to a web TV, former IHC judge Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui said that he is hopeful that Supreme Court will give verdict in the light of justice and truth. When asked will inquiry be done? Former judge said that he didn’t receive show-cause notice on the matter.
On this I wrote a letter to former chief justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar that I talked about these things and his reaction has been received. I requested the former chief justice of Pakistan to investigate the allegations put forth by me by making a commission.
I put forth a condition that the judges who are currently working or the judges which took oath under PCO should investigate this matter. To a question, what proofs you can present in front of the Supreme Court? He replied when he would present the proofs, then all will come to know. He said we are waiting for that time as we have credible proofs in this regard.
When asked what expectations you have from the Supreme Court. To this he replied he believes that the verdict will be issued in the light of justice and truth. It is worth mentioning here that Supreme Court has reserved the verdict.
