IHC expresses dissatisfaction over FO correspondence for Dr. Aafia Siddiqui’s release from the US
ISLAMABAD, Nov 29 (SABAH): Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday expressed concerns over correspondence of the Foreign Office (FO) regarding release of Dr. Aafia Siddiqui from the US prison.
Islamabad High Court conducted hearing of the case related to release of incarcerated Pakistani Dr. Aafia Siddiqui in an American jail.
The FO presented record of correspondence made with the US while the court expressing dissatisfaction ordered to produce the record of correspondence during the next hearing.
IHC Justice Sardar Ejaz Ishaq Khan remarked the FO authorities again started the earlier process and directed them to present the correspondence carried out with the US. He stated the second report was presented after passage of a month but it was unsatisfactory.
The court ordered the FO authorities to present all the correspondence on the course of next hearing and adjourned the hearing till December 07.
