IHC CJ Aamer Farooq stops FIA to take action against Imran Khan’s sister Aleema Khan
ISLAMABAD, Feb 6 (SABAH): Islamabad High Court (IHC) has stopped the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) from taking any action against Aleema Khan, sister of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and has summoned reply from FIA next week. Chief Justice Islamabad High Court Aamer Farooq conducted hearing on two petitions filed by Aleema Khan against the issuance of the notices by FIA.
Aleema Khan challenged FIA’s both summons notices in the IHC. She prayed the court to order FIA to provide evidence and records against her and declare the FIA notices null and void.
Aleema Khan had challenged both notices sent by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in Islamabad High Court (IHC).
Aleema Khan reached IHC with her lawyer Sheraz Ahmed Ranjha where both notices of FIA were challenged. FIA cybercrime and anti-terrorism wing had given the notices.
FIA has been ordered to present proof and record against Aleema Khan. In the petition, Aleema Khan requested the IHC to declare the notices of FIA null and void.
The petition said FIA in the disguise of the notice was trying to politically victimize Aleema Khan. The petition said that if the inquiry was held fairly Aleema Khan would co-operate.
