Iftar dinner arranged by Alkhidmat Foundation Women Wing Trust Lahore in honor of 150 brave orphan children & their mothers
LAHORE, April 02 (SABAH): Iftar dinner was arranged by Alkhidmat Foundation Women Wing Trust Lahore in honor of the 150 brave orphan children and their mothers.
While addressing on the occasion as chief guest Jamaat-e-Islami women candidate for PP-157 Rashida Shaheen said that looking after the orphan is the best source of securing paradise and company of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), adding that it is the saying of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) that whosoever provide meal to the orphan and place hand of compassion on their head, Almighty Allah opens the doors of jannah for him.
Rashida Shaheen said that although Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan is fulfilling the duty of looking after hundreds of orphan children and their families but there is need that in whole society while following the path of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), the arrangements should be made at government level and family level to look after the orphan children and they should be made useful citizens of the society while making them able to earn livelihood.
On the occasion clothes, ration and other gifts were also distributed among the brave mothers and their children. On the occasion puppet show, tableau and face painting were also arranged for the orphan children. The orphan children enthusiastically participated in these activities.
Rashida Shaheen while appreciating the efforts of Alkhidmat Foundation said that only placing hand of compassion on the heads orphan and extending some help only in Ramadan is not enough and there is need of looking after them whole year, adding that Alkhidmat Foundation remains active permanently for this purpose. She asked the philanthropists of the country to help Alkhidmat Foundation so that the process of looking after the orphan children should be moved forward.
It is worth mentioning here that while following the teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), under the Alkhidmat Foundation Women Wing Trust every year during the Ramadan different activities are held on the occasion of the Yaum-e-Yatama (Orphan Day).
