If the govt will not stop increasing electricity prices then we will observe shutter down strike along with adopting legal course: Hafiz Naeemur Rehman

LAHORE, Sep 07 (SABAH): Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Engineer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has said that if the government will not stop increasing the electricity prices then we will observe shutter down strike along with adopting the legal course. He said that the trial of those who mortgaged Pakistan in the hands of America should also be conducted along with Lt. General (retd) Faiz Hameed. He said that if the court martial of those who brought terrorism is conducted then it would be a political issue, adding that accountability of General (retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa should also be held, adding that why accountability of General Bajwa should not be held, whether he is above the constitution. Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that the accountability of all three parties should be held who had given extension to General Bajwa.

 

This was stated by Hafiz Naeemur Rehman while addressing the medical conference titled “MEDCON” organized by Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan and later on talking to media persons. President Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Professor Dr. Hafeezur Rehman, JI Information Secretary Qaiser Sharif and other office bearers of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan were also present on the occasion. Hafiz Naeemur Rehman distributed awards among the position holder and prominent students of Punjab.

 

Hafiz Naeemur Rehman denounced the recently introduced legislation aimed at regulating rallies in Islamabad, asserting that every citizen and political party has a constitutional right to stage peaceful protests anywhere in the country. He emphasized that Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) will organize protests at a time and location of its choosing in the federal capital. Hafiz Naeemur Rehman criticized the government, which he said was formed through rigged elections and the manipulation of Form 47. He questioned the legitimacy of such a government to introduce restrictive laws.

Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that the connections of recent terrorism are linked with America and India, adding that this issue started during the era of Parvez Musharraf and after 9/11, America and India had the opportunity to enter in Pakistan. He said that 99 percent people of Pakistan could not become doctors, adding that let us should make Pakistan better and work for humanity.

Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that Pakistan faced $200 billion loss and one hundred thousand army personnel martyred in war against terrorism. He said that the government is not stopping the imposition of additional taxes in electricity bills, adding that we will approach the court regarding the matter and will also observe wheel jam strike with the support of people. He said that 16 days left in completion of the agreement singed between JI and government after Rawalpindi sit-in, adding that we will observe the wheel jam strike which will be longer than one day. He said that few families occupying the national kitty want to deprive the masses from health and education facilities.
