If MQM-Pakistan takes decision to quit the federal govt it would be a non-political decision: Bilawal


KARACHI, Jan 14 (SABAH): Foreign Minister of Pakistan and Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that if Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) takes decision to quit the federal government it would be a non-political decision, adding that MQM-Pakistan will not take such decision. He said that the federal government is confident about its numbers and if President Dr. Arif Alvi asks Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif to take vote of confidence then we will manage it too. Bilawal Bhutto said that PPP is continuously in contact with the MQM-Pakistan, adding that the MQM-P should bring out its voters today (Sunday). He said that there is no confusion about the local government elections after the decision of the Election Commission of Pakistan.

In an interview with a private TV channel on Saturday, Bilawal Bhutto said that from July last year the MQM-Pakistan and Pakistan People’s Party candidates are running the campaign for LG elections, adding that Election Day is 50 percent of the fight for every political party contesting the election. He said that MQM-Pakistan should not get disappointed and should take part in the local government election of Karachi and Hyderabad divisions going to be held today (Sunday).

Bilawal Bhutto said that he was born in Karachi and he wanted to work for the development of Karachi city, whole province and Hyderabad Division. Bilawal Bhutto said that it is his fundamental message for the voters that 15th January is the Election Day and should come out and use your right of vote and should change the fate of your city.

Bilawal Bhutto said that it is his political analysis that first time in the history of the country the mayor of Hyderabad will be from PPP, adding that it would be his desire that the mayor of Karachi should also be some “Jiyala” but he could say 100 percent that the Karachi mayor will be from Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM). Bilawal Bhutto said that we are contesting for the mayors and towns and with the Blessings of Almighty Allah we will succeed.

Bilawal Bhutto said that he is hopeful that MQM-Pakistan will take part in the local bodies’ elections and will try to serve the people and he is hopeful MQM-Pakistan will not make any non-political decision. Bilawal Bhutto said that MQM-Pakistan is old and senior party and it will play proper role and will work for the development of Karachi and Hyderabad. Bilawal Bhutto said he would like to join hands with all political parties after the LG polls for the betterment of Karachi.
