Hybrid system is destroying foundation of the country: Omar Ayub
ISLAMABAD, June 5 (SABAH): Opposition Leader and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Secretary General Omar Ayub asserted that the hybrid system has ruined the foundation of the state.
Talking to media outside the Islamabad High Court (IHC) where he appeared for the hearing of FIA notice to him and PTI leaders, Barrister Gohar, Raoof Hassan on the controversial tweet and video on the 1971 debacle and the Hamood-Ur-Rehman Commission report.
Opposition leader has also announced to challenge the FIA notice in Parliament and court. He also disclosed to file a petition against the Capital Development Authority (CDA) for contempt of court for sealing PTI secretariat Islamabad illegally despite IHC’s order.
He stated that the venue ‘Rawat’ assigned by Islamabad administration for PTI’s public gathering was 30 km away from Islamabad.
He added that the Main Srinagar Highway must be allotted to the party for public gatherings as Islamabad has many places, including Tarnol, for public rallies.
He affirmed that the party leaders will face the cases against them with courage and will be acquitted. He highlighted that PTI leadersAliyaHamza and SanamJaved have been detained in jail.
Jail SP has revealed that he has influence on him and he can’t release PTI leaders. He also raised the issue of influence on jail administration, he said, “do aliens influence jail administration? This issue must be raised.”
He also denied the credibility of the incumbent government, saying, “Is it a banana republic? We do not accept this regime and this hybrid system is ruining the foundation of Pakistan.”
