Hina Rabbani Khar her Norwegian counterpart Anniken Huitfeldt agree to work towards enhancement of bilateral cooperation in multiple spheres
OSLO, June 06 (SABAH): Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar held bilateral talks with her Norwegian counterpart Anniken Huitfeldt in Oslo on Tuesday.
According to a statement issued by Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch on twitter on Tuesday, while appreciating 75 years of Pakistan-Norway relations, they agreed to work towards enhancement of bilateral cooperation in multiple spheres. They also agreed on the importance of multilateralism to address regional and global challenges.
Meanwhile Hina Rabbani Khar held bilateral talks with State Secretary to Norway’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Erling Rimestad on Tuesday in Oslo. She expressed gratitude for Norway’s support for flood affectees in Pakistan.
They discussed investments in micro hydro power plants in Pakistan and agreed to increase coop in realms of green energy and shipping and blue economy and collaboration in higher education and research. Global/regional issues of concern including Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), Afghanistan and Ukraine were also discussed.
