Hina Rabbani Khar emphasises that global community should invest in a unified response to global challenges including climate change

BRUSSELS, June 14 (SABAH): Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar had a productive discussion with Chair of Committee on Foreign Affairs of European Parliament David McAllister and exchanged views on latest regional and global developments.

Hina Rabbani Khar emphasised that the global community should invest in a unified response to global challenges including climate change.

Meanwhile Hina Rabbani Khar met the Chair of International Trade Committee Bernd Lange. During the meeting, they discussed the upcoming GSP Plus scheme and Pakistan’s position.

The impetus given by GSP Plus scheme to Pakistan exports and the importance of continued European Union and Pakistan collaboration for development and trade.

Meanwhile Hina Rabbani Khar met with Chair of Delegation for Relations with countries of South Asia Nicola Procaccini. Latest regional developments were the spotlight of discussions. During the meeting they stressed that stability in South Asia is imperative for global peace. They also agreed to enhance Pakistan and European Union parliamentary cooperation.

Meanwhile Hina Rabbani Khar held a working lunch with Members of the European Parliament belonging to different committees and exchanged candid views on latest global and regional developments and agreed to further augment Pakistan and European Union relations through enhanced parliamentary exchanges between Pakistan and European Union.
