Hearing of Azad Kashmir Election Commission case against Ali Amin Gandapur to be held on March 11 at Islamabad

ISLAMABAD, March 5 (SABAH): Hearing of the case against Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Khan Gandapur will be conducted by Azad Jammu and Kashmir Election Commission in Islamabad on 11th March. There is accusation of violation of code of conduct on Ali Amin Gandapur on the occasion of elections of Azad Kashmir Legislative Assembly. On that time he was Minister for Kashmir Affairs.

Chief Election Commissioner Azad Jammu and Kashmir Justice (retd) Abdur Rasheed said that in the light of previous two cases, his arrest warrant was sent to deputy commissioner Dera Ismail Khan and he was directed to produce him before the Election Commission Azad Kashmir on February 28.

On Tuesday, in camp office, Islamabad, Chief Election Commissioner Azad Jammu and Kashmir Justice (retd) Abdur Rasheed conducted hearing of violation of code of conduct during Jammu and Kashmir election 2021 by Ali Amin Gandapur. Petitioner Raja Zulqarnain Advocate appeared during the heating. Yasir Safeer Mughal Advocate on behalf of Ali Amin Gandapur and prosecutor Raja Mazhar Waheed appeared before the commission.

Counsel for Ali Amin Gandapur submitted application that commission is not complete and single chief election commissioner cannot conduct hearing. To this the parties were ordered to present their arguments on March 11. The hearing of the case again would be held at Camp Office Islamabad on March 11.

It is worth mentioning here that lawyer Raja Zulqurnain filed application against leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) during election of 2021.
