Havaldar Muhammad Shafiq of Pak Army embraces Shahadat while serving in UN Mission in Central African Republic: ISPR  

RAWALPINDI, Dec 02 (SABAH): Havaldar Muhammad Shafiq of Pakistan Army embraced Shahadat while serving in United Nations Mission in Central African Republic (CAR).

According to a press release issued by ISPR, funeral prayer of the soldier was offered at his native town in Mian Channu, Khanewal. Shaheed soldier was buried with full military honours.

Havaldar Muhammad Shafiq joined UN Mission in Feb 2021. He was a brave and dedicated member of the Pakistan contingent ensuring protection of civilians in CAR and facilitating delivery of humanitarian assistance.

So far, 162 Pakistani peacekeepers have laid down their lives as part of global mission for international peace and stability. Havaldar Muhammad Shafiq is survived by his wife and 3 sons.
