Hamas created an unprecedented history of resistance with its faith-driven zeal in the face of world’s most powerful technology: Ameerul Azim

PESHAWAR, Feb 02 (SABAH): Secretary General Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, Ameerul Azim has said that Jamaat-e-Islami is the most organized and democratic party in our country, where the workers enjoy the freedom of expression to an extent that no other political party can even imagine.

Ameerul Azim expressed these views while addressing the participants of the Leadership Workshop held under the auspices of Jamaat-e-Islami Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Central at Markaz-e-Islami, Peshawar. The workshop was attended by a large number of emirs, Nazims, and responsible members of Jamaat-e-Islami’s district, NA, zonal, and NC-level organizations.

Secretary General Jamaat-e-Islami said that the continuous struggle of the workers of Jamaat-e-Islami and the 14-day sit-in in front of Liaqat Bagh not only forced the rulers to reconsider their disgraceful agreements with the IPPs and unjustified electricity bills, but the relentless efforts of the workers also attracted people towards the party. He said we will take the movement against electricity bills & shameful agreements with IPPs to its logical conclusion.

Ameerul Azim said that the attachment to our mission should be such that the world recognizes it. He further said that the oppressed Muslims of Gaza and Hamas with their faith-driven passion, have made an unprecedented sacrifice in the face of the world’s powerful technology, creating a new chapter in the history of resistance and their commitment to their land and cause.

During the Leadership Workshop, while addressing the participants, Provincial Emir Abdul Wasay said that the law and order situation across the province is currently very disturbed, while in some areas, 12 to 18 hours of severe load shedding has made people’s lives miserable. He mentioned that after consultations with the Kissan Board on February 6, they will announce a course of action regarding the agricultural income tax and super tax imposed by the provincial government.

The workshop also featured lectures from Provincial General Secretary Sabir Hussain Awan, Naib Emirs Maulana Muhammad Ismail, Mian Sohaibuddin Kakakhel, Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Khalil, Director of the Tarbiya Academy Lahore Shahid Warisi, and Director of Media Ahmed Furqan Khalil. They delivered lectures on topics such as organizational development, the establishment and activation of local parties, strengthening of the Bait-ul-Mal, member creation, the importance of social media, and its effective usage.

During the workshop, organizational leaders were instructed to complete the formation of local organizations, women’s units, and Jamaat-e-Islami Youth organizations by April 15. This includes the establishment of a 10-member cabinet for the Jamaat-e-Islami Youth organization. Local organizations were given targets to include grassroots-level organization at the block code, neighborhood, and mosque levels in their plans. Additionally, the local level Bait-ul-Mal system should be strengthened, with 10 percent of Bait-ul-Mal allocated for the establishment of libraries. Focus should also be placed on the effective use of media and social media.
