Hafiz Naeemur Rehman issues stern warning to the rulers, stating that their attempts to suppress youth by restricting freedom of speech & social media will never succeed

PESHAWAR, July 06 (SABAH): Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Emir Engineer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has issued a stern warning to the rulers, stating that their attempts to suppress the youth by restricting freedom of speech and social media will never succeed.

Speaking at the launch ceremony of the Bano Qabil Program in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Saturday, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman expressed hope that the youth would bring about a revolution in the country, assuring them of the full support of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI).

Thousands of students from across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa participated in the qualifying test for free IT training provided by the JI. Hafiz Naeemur Rehman announced that successful candidates would receive free computer education, enabling them to earn a livelihood. He outlined an ambitious plan to provide one million students across the country with free IT education over the next two to three years. Additionally, he stated that 100,000 teachers from both government and private institutions would receive IT training. These trained teachers would then educate five million students in IT, creating a ripple effect that would bring about an IT revolution, boost employment, and increase revenue, he said.

Hafiz Naeemur Rehman criticized the current rulers, accusing them of failing to serve the nation and instead destroying various sectors. He lamented the brain drain caused by the rulers’ failure to support the youth. The ruling elite, he said, have monopolized resources, plundered national wealth, and hidden it in foreign countries. Meanwhile, over 30 million children are out of school, and more than four million youth become jobless every year, he said.

He decried the deprivation of basic needs such as health and education facilities, compounded by heavy taxes imposed in the recent budget.

In response to this alarming situation, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman declared that the JI could not abandon the people. He said the sit-in in Islamabad on July 12 to demand the people’s rights would prove a game changer. The JI, he vowed, on one side would continue its welfare activities and public service while on the other side it would strive to fight for public rights.
