Hafiz Naeemur Rehman demands to extend date of census at Karachi
KARACHI, May 16 (SABAH): Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi, Engineer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has demanded to extend the date of census, saying counting of people of Karachi be finalized as incomplete counting as well as census was unacceptable at all.
In a statement, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) in convenience with ruling class is playing the role of merchant with regards to rights of Karachiites. He further said without completing the number of people of Karachi, the census would be a mere injustice and a barbaric act.
He stressed upon the relevant authorities to count the number of people of Karachi as it and added the census process should be continued till proper counting of masses of the city. He said if the counting was not accomplished in its true spirit then Jamaat-e-Islami will continue raising voice for the justified rights of the people of Karachi.
Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that according to the date gathered by the polio workers, more than 11,000 houses have not been numbered in the central district and added on these lines anomalies were also committed in the other district.
