Hafiz Naeemur Rehman demands to bring anomalies & fraud in census to an end in Karachi

KARACHI, Mar 31 (SABAH): Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi Engineer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has demanded of bringing anomalies and fraud in the census to an end and Karachities must be counted properly.

Hafiz Naeemur Rehman expressed these views while addressing the public protesting camp at the Governor House on Friday. Naib Emir Karachi Dr. Usama Razi also addressed on the occasion.

Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi furthered demanded that all the people in the city must be counted in the population of Karachi and added no-one would be allowed to snatch the resources and representation of the city. In the present census, Karachi’s citizen is not allowed to know about the exact number of population of the city.

“We demand that a committee be framed of all the stakeholder parties of the city to properly monitor the ongoing census. We will never accept fake census at all costs. It was announced to do loading shedding during sehri and aftaar during the holy month of Ramazan but the situation is otherwise. People are deprived of electricity even in these hours,” he said.

Hafiz Naeemur Rehman maintained that law and order situation is not still well as street crimes and turmoil is on the rise in the city. He said that the citizens of Karachi must be inducted in the department of police. In Karachi, Jamaat-e-Islami has been protesting against the fraud and anomalies in the ongoing census. The quarters concerned wanted to now show the exact number of population of the city. Jamaat-e-Islami in the past also took up voice in this regard. Pakistan People’s Party does not except doing wishful thinking on the issue of census. It only talks about the population of Sindh but it does not talk about showing less population of the port city of Karachi.
