GPS tracker on Kashmir youth condemned
ISLAMABAD, Nov 14 (SABAH): Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, Chairman Jammu and Kashmir People’s Freedom League and senior Hurriyat Conference leader in a statement on Tuesday denounced Indian authorities fresh attempts of horrific spying methods to restrict usual domestic activities of bailed out Kashmiri prisoners.
He said that an example of Ghulam Muhammad Butt, a 65 year old resident of Srinagar was the first ever example of such a step against political sympathisers in the region.
A tracker around his ankle known as a global positioning system (GPS) has been put around his ankle, that will make job of the security agencies easier to maintain round the clock servillance on bailed out prisoners and other pro-freedom sympthyzers.
He said that this was height of revengeful servillance against the peaceful Kashmiris in Jammu and Kashmir. The human rights organizations and other UN watch groups should take note and stop India from such tyrannical activities in Kashmir.
