Govt’s offer of talks to Jamaat-e-Islami, it wants to form a negotiation team

ISLAMABAD, July 26 (SABAH): Federal Ministers Attaullah Tarar and Amir Muqam have addressed a joint press conference and said that the government will have to establish its effectiveness to maintain law and order and it is ready to negotiate with Jamaat-e-Islami.

Attaullah Tarar said that Jamaat-e-Islami had been given permission to hold a rally in Liaqat Bagh, all the SOPs were also fixed with the administration. Jamaat-e-Islami’s advancement towards Islamabad cannot be understood.

He said that there is a problem of law and order in the country, every day a group sits on dharna which affects the routine of life badly, adding the routine of life should not be affected. Information Minister said that Jamaat-e-Islami and its leadership is very respectable for us.

Attaullah Tarar said, “I request Hafiz Naeemur Rehman that the government wants to form a negotiation team and is ready to discuss these issues together with Jamaat-e-Islami.”
