Govt’s economic terrorism unbearable for people & economy: Liaqat Baloch

LAHORE, Feb 10 (SABAH): Deputy Chief of Jamaat-e-Islami, former parliamentary leader Liaqat Baloch has said that the government is incompetent, failed and completely devoid of the feeling of public pain.

JI senior leader said that Oil prices have come down in the world market but Imran Khan government dropped petrol bombs on the people 12 times in 9 months. Government economic terrorism has become unbearable for the people and the national economy.

Baloch said that The opposition and the people are disappointed and disgusted with the government. It is now impossible for the Establishment and the ruling coalition parties to bear the brunt of the PTI’s incompetence.

The resignation of the government has become inevitable in order to maintain the security and continuity of the constitutional, democratic and parliamentary system. The results of the 2018 elections have come to an end, now a new mandate from the people and early elections are necessary.

Liaqat Baloch strongly condemned the arrest of Mohsin Baig, a senior journalist and head of news organizations, saying that the dictatorial attitude of the federal government against independent journalism was spreading. Arrests, disappearances and torturing of journalists have become commonplace. Dressed in white, raiding a house without an arrest warrant or advance charge sheet is state terrorism.

He said that one can do anything to protect one’s life and honor. Oppression, abuse and coercion on journalism must now be stopped. Mohsin Baig should be released immediately.
