Govt’s agreement with IMF has nothing to do with tsunami of inflation & complete slavery: Sirajul Haq
GUJRAT, June 25 (SABAH): Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Sirajul Haq has said that government’s agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has nothing to do with the tsunami of inflation in the country and complete slavery.
Addressing workers of gathering at Gujrat here on Sunday, Sirajul Haq said that they demand of the government to bring forth the complete details of the agreement made with the IMF as all the rulers of previous many decades did not present a viable program but they put forth economy full of loans. He further deplored that the rulers misused money of loans taken from abroad.
Deputy Secretary General Jamaat-e-Islami Azhar Iqbal Hassan, Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Punjab Northern Dr Tariq Saleem, Emir District Chaudhry Ansar and Sheikh Usman Farooq also addressed on the occasion.
Emir Jamaat-e-Islami said that youth of the country were suffering from psychological disorders in wake of unemployment and resorting to suicides, and added all the big three parties of the country proved that this country owned by aristocracy and mafias where noting was owned by the downtrodden people of the society.
In the Parliament, emir Jamaat-e-Islami said that feudal-lords, contractors, notables and people belonging to well off families don’t spend their money on the treatment as well as they don’t consume money on performing hajj or umra. Political, economic and social terrorism is at its peak in the country, he lamented.
Sirajul Haq stressed upon the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) to brief the masses about performance during their tenures instead of raising slogans. “If the Jamaat-e-Islami was voted to power, the country would lead the world. This country is gift of Allah Almighty,” he remarked. He also appealed to the nation to actively support Jamaat-e-Islami [in the coming elections].
He also strongly condemned the statement of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and added if there would have been Islamic System in the country, he would have not dared to say this, terming his statement a slap on the rulers of previous 75 years.
Sirajul Haq further expressed his concerns over the plight of joblessness in the country, saying if there would have not been bribe culture youth would not leave the country. He stressed upon the government to decrease the burden of taxes upon the masses besides lessening their own perks and privileges.
