Govt working on priority basis on the projects being carried out in Balochistan under CPEC: PM Shehbaz
ISLAMABAD, June 16 (SABAH): Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has said that development of Pakistan is linked with the progress of Balochistan.
He was talking to an eight-member delegation of PML-N belonging to Balochistan led by Jaffar Khan Mandokhail, which called on him in Islamabad on Friday. During the meeting, they discussed over all political situation of the country.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said the government is working on priority basis on the projects being carried out in Balochistan under China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
He said the Baloch youth are the real asset of Balochistan and the government will ensure provision of laptops, and imparting high education and professional training to them.
The PML-N delegation thanked the Prime Minister for the inclusion of special projects in the next fiscal year budget for development of Balochistan.
Meanwhile Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif says no laxity will be acceptable in timely completion of development projects.
He expressed these views while presiding over a review meeting on the ongoing development projects in Islamabad on Friday.
The Prime Minister directed to complete all the development projects within their stipulated timeframe and instructed the Chairman Capital Development Authority to personally monitor the pace and quality of work of these projects.
He also directed to ensure land skiing of the development projects according to international standards.
The meeting was informed in detail about the development on the projects being undertaken by the Capital Development Authority.
