Govt will sort out genuine issues faced by foreign investors including US companies operating in Pakistan: Naveed Qamar


ISLAMABAD, July 04 (SABAH): Minister for Commerce Syed Naveed Qamar has said the incumbent government will sort out genuine issues being faced by foreign investors including US companies operating in Pakistan.

Naveed Qamar and US Special Representative for Commercial and Business Affairs, US Department of State Dilawar Syed held a meeting at the Ministry of Commerce to discuss issues of trade and investment between the two countries on Monday.

Dilawar Syed was accompanied by Regional Policy Lead for Europe and Central Asia at the US International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), Gaia Self.

The minister for commerce highlighted the opportunities existing in Pakistan for US companies and businesses in various areas such as IT, textiles, pharmaceutical, etc.

He expressed the resolve to sort out the genuine issues being faced by the US companies in Pakistan. The special representative for commercial and business affairs expressed interest in the opportunities being offered in the country, adding the government of Pakistan’s focus on improving business climate of the country will further enhance trade and investment between the two countries.
