RAWALPINDI, Jan 07 (SABAH): A delegation led by President of Rawalpindi Chamber of Small Traders and Small Industry Sheikh Asif Idrees called on Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry.

Group Leader Shahid Ghafoor Paracha, Senior Vice President Chaudhry Muhammad Akram, Vice President Wasiullah Khokhar, Asim Idrees, Muhammad Zia Chauhan, Muhammad Fayyaz Qureshi Senior Chairman PGJTEA were also present on the occasion.

During the meeting, issues related to construction of industrial zones along Rawalpindi Ring Road, money budget, harassment by FBR, gems and jewelery, export issues, economic woes and issues related to trade were discussed in detail.

Fawad Chaudhry assured the delegation that they are aware of the problems of the business community. The government wants the problems of the business community to be solved on priority basis. I will take the issues to the government houses. I will soon visit the Rawalpindi Chamber of Small Traders and Small Industry.

Sheikh Asif Idrees thanked the Federal Minister and said that the difficulties of traders increased during the code but traders supported the government even in this situation. Business activities of traders are going on. The establishment will boost local industry and reduce the heavy traffic pressure on the city. If industrial zones are not built, its status will be reduced to a road.

He said that it has become necessary to set up an industrial estate near Ring Road, which would increase business activities and all grain markets within the city, including transportation, should be shifted to small industrial units where all the facilities for one-window operation are required. When an industrial estate is created here, not only will businesses grow, but it will also be possible to eliminate unemployment. People will move here in search of jobs.
