Govt swoops up 230 million people on directions of IMF but no-one holds billionaires accountable: Sirajul Haq


OKARA, Feb 24 (SABAH): Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Sirajul Haq has said that the government has swooped up 230 million people on the directions of International Monetary Fund (IMF) but no-one holds the billionaires accountable.

Sirajul Haq expressed these views while addressing the public convention at Okara held against the unemployment, corruption, riba system and slavery of IMF. He further announced that Jamaat-e-Islami had selected honest and competent leadership for the future elections in the country and added that an enormous convention of candidates would be held in the federal capital on February 27 where final announcements would be made.

In the country, he said there were private jails of the cruel feudal lords where underprivileged mothers, sisters and daughters were incarcerated. He said the people were being met out worse conduct; he said and added those who perpetrate such heinous acts consume millions of rupees in the election campaigns thus reach in the assemblies.

Sirajul Haq said the feudal lords had held the democracy and the masses hostage and added the courts, establishment and police were well cognizant of such elements but they offer them protocol instead of crushing them. Such people who were part of big ruling parties deem them above the law, he said, and added if they commit corruption or inflict barbaric acts upon the masses no-one questions them.

He went on to say that feudal lord sent their own offspring abroad for acquiring education whereas the schools for the poor in the country were ruined. In Balochistan, he said the family of poor woman was destroyed and her children were burnt alive but the rulers and institutions were still playing the role of silent spectators.

Emir Jamaat-e-Islami said that pockets of land mafia and owners of sugar mills were full of money and had their offshore companies. He went on to say the Britishers donated them properties and following the death of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, they reined in the country.

He said the rulers were political and economical terrorists and added the current as well as the former governments were equally responsible for the mess the country is in but they do not accept responsibility. He said the rulers just needs vote of the masses in the elections and they had held the system hostage.

Sirajul Haq said barbarism was ruling the roosting in the country and added the situation was even worse than that of ‘British Raj.’ He said the nation should come forward to take its own decision and appealed to it support Jamaat-e-Islami in the elections as they had already tested Pakistan People’s Party, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
