Govt should stop undemocratic & unconstitutional games to make judiciary subservient: Liaqat Baloch

LAHORE, Sep 16 (SABAH): Naib Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Liaqat Baloch has said that the government should stop the undemocratic and unconstitutional game to make the judiciary subservient. He said the government did not follow the agreement reached as a result of the negotiations on sit-in protest and if the people do not get relief, there will be a long march and sit-ins.

Addressing the political consultation meeting and delegations at Mansoorah and the programs in Chakdara, Timergara, he said that the government under the leadership of Mian Shehbaz Sharif has become a cause of failure and difficulties for the people on every front. He said legislation and parliament have been made playthings to subdue the parliament, judiciary and political opponents. He said blackmailing of the allies is a disgrace to politics, democracy and parliament.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman is playing precise political cards with the government and the opposition, he said and added the government should stop the undemocratic, unconstitutional game of malicious legislation, corrupting the constitution and subjugating the judiciary.

He said the government should do serious work to get rid of the oppression of IPPs and electricity bills otherwise the government will not be allowed to hide behind the engineered political crisis. Naib Emir Jamaat-e-Islami said the people are eager for strikes, long marches and marches towards Islamabad to get relief.

Liaqat Baloch said that the birth of Khatam al-Ambiya, Hazrat Muhammad, (Peace Be Upon Him), is a great gift of God’s mercy and favor to mankind, adding the people should follow the prophet.

The spring of happiness of Rabi-ul-Awwal freed the world from misguidance, the word of truth rose high, falsehood became unsuccessful, even today the people of faith can achieve greatness by walking on the same path of truth. Liaqat Baloch said in response to journalists’ questions that Jamaat-e-Islami is contacting people, business community, industrialists, labor and workers organizations and employee organizations in a large scale throughout the country, adding if the government did not obey the agreement, there would be long march and sit-ins.
