Govt should stop manipulating people: Liaqat Baloch
LAHORE, PESHAWAR, Nov 14 (SABAH): Naib Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Liaqat Baloch has said the government should stop manipulating the public. He said if the real price of electricity, petrol and gas is charged the economy in the country will run otherwise begging from all over the world and dishonoring the country and the nation will continue.
Liaqat Baloch expressed these views while talking to journalists and political leaders on the occasion of the marriage of daughter of Jamaat-e-Islami and local social leader Malik Pervez Khan in Peshawar.
He welcomed the consensus between the government and the IMF delegation on not bringing a mini-budget and not imposing GST on petroleum products. Of course, with this measure, the increase of new burden on the public will be avoided, but on the other hand, the government has indicated an increase in the prices of petrol and electricity, he added.
The holding of the Islamic Summit was very welcoming, but due to the lack of concrete measures, the Israeli Zionist air attacks have accelerated as buildings, residential campuses, hospitals and schools are being destroyed, adding the massacre of innocent people and martyrdom of women and children is the worst form of genocide.
He said if the leadership of the world of Islam will further delay in bold joint actions, then the whole Muslim world will face great dangers and the whole Islamic world will be victim of the Zionist colonialist agenda.
Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Khalil while informing about the details of visit to Afghanistan and Azerbaijan said that peace in Afghanistan will be the strong foundation to unite the people of the entire region. He said the economic situation is better, but the temporary system that has been going on in Afghanistan for 4 years and the lack of a clear strategy on the front of education has caused public anxiety.
