Govt of Pak should intensify its efforts at int’l level for resolution of Kashmir dispute according to aspirations of Kashmir people: Ghulam Muhammad Safi
LAHORE, July 19 (SABAH): All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Kashmir and Pakistan Convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi has demanded that government of Pakistan should intensify its efforts at the international level for the resolution of the Kashmir dispute according to the aspirations of the Kashmir people and should prepare ground for holding plebiscite in
Kashmir according to the United Nations resolutions so that the pressure could be put on India. He said that India fears that if it will hold plebiscite in Kashmir then the not only Kashmiris but the Sikh community will also vote in favor of joining Pakistan and Kashmir will be slipped from its hands. Ghulam Muhammad Safi said that Kashmiris have no objection on the negotiations between Pakistan and India; however we will not accept any negotiations about Kashmir without the participation of Kashmiris.
This was stated by Ghulam Muhammad Safi while addressing the participants of the Accession to Pakistan Day rally in front of the Punjab Assembly building in Lahore on Friday. The rally was also addressed by Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Lahore Ziauddin Ansari,
PTI leader Ghulam Mohiuddin Dewan, Tehreek-e-Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party MPA Shoaib Siddiqui, PPP leader Dr. Asim, Muslim Conference leader Waheeduddin and leaders of other parties.
Ghulam Muhammad Safi while thanking all the leaders and workers for participating in rally said that by participating in rally all the political and religious parties of Pakistan have reiterated that the whole Pakistani nation is united on Kashmir issue and have also given the message
that there is no worth of changing the status of Kashmir by Indian PM Narendra Modi and the solution to the Kashmir problem lies in extending right to the Kashmiris to decide about their fate through holding plebiscite according to the UN Resolutions.
Ghulam Muhammad Safi said that Kashmiris will not sit silently until and unless Indian illegal occupation of Kashmir ends. He said that in fact the Kashmiris are struggling for the completion of Pakistan’s incomplete agenda, adding that Kashmiris were Pakistanis yesterday and Kashmiris are Pakistanis today.
