Govt is using its last days for itself instead of benefit of masses: Sirajul Haq

PESHAWAR, July 26 (SABAH): Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Sirajul Haq has said that the government is using its last days for itself instead of using them for the benefit of the masses.

Sirajul Haq expressed these views while talking to delegations at Peshawar here on Wednesday. He further said that performance of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) during the last 15 months was zero.

He went on to say that during the period the government only got ended the cases against it while the development funds were being used in the constituencies of the members of the government which is tantamount to laying foundation of pre-polls rigging.

He maintained that the masses will not be deceived by the fraud of the rulers anymore. He said that the three major political parties have badly exposed before the masses and added the country needed capable and honest leadership.

He further said that Jamaat-e-Islami was a single option. He said the government used its last days for itself instead of using them for the benefit of the masses.

Sirajul Haq said that the government increased price of electricity hundred times due to which the people were suffering. He added that they reject the raise in tariff of electricity.

He maintained that they will not remain silent regarding the rights of the masses and added instead of falling electricity bomb, the government should curb its stealing as well as its free of cost use.

He noted the leaders of current government took out processions and long-marches against inflation before coming into power but now they are observing complete silence.

Sirajul Haq said that the incumbent government could not curtail inflation and also it did not improve economy of the country. He said nepotism, interest and unjust division of resources are the causes of country’s issues.

He stressed upon the need of introducing a strict system of justice and accountability and added the rulers instead of focusing on these issues, safeguarded their own interests.

Sirajul Haq said that these rulers have been imposed for decades and there is a need of change in corrupt system as well as its protectors. “This country came into existence on the basis of “Two Nations Theory” but still Islamic System could not be enforced over here,” he added.
