Govt incompetence, unending infighting among selfish group plunge country into quagmire: Asad Umar

ISLAMABAD, Feb 07 (SABAH): Secretary General Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Asad Umar said that the unending infighting among the handful self-centered power greedy political elites and incompetence of the imported government plunged the country into quagmire of problems, because they were more interested in clinching to power rather than finding solution to pull the country out of the morass.

Launching Insaf Doctors Forum’s nationwide membership drive here on Tuesday, Asad Umar said that Pakistan was currently passing through a historic phase, which was occupied by a selfish group. However, he made it clear that the next week was of paramount importance which would set the direction of the country’s future, as the 22 crore people would most likely be given the right to run the country, who did not accept the rotten-old system anymore.

Asad said that the imported government used different tactics to defer the polls; however, they cannot run anymore from the elections come what may since the nation now had made their mind to make Pakistan a truly independent welfare state envisioned by Quaid-e-Azam.

He urged the nation that it was not a war of one political party but it’s a war of the future of the country; hence everyone should play its due role to get it rid from the clutches of these power hungry selfish group once and far all. He said that the imported government sensed the gravity of the situation; hence they resorted to fascist tactics, as Fawad Chaudhry was detained and then Sheikh Rashid was arrested.

He said that Pervez Elahi house was raided and a case of sedition was filed against Shandana Gulzar, which was the clear manifestation of the fear of the imported government. Asad said that open threats were being hurled that polls would not be held within stipulated 90 days. He advised to stop talking about breaking the constitution and come to the field and face the PTI in the elections.

Talking about the country economic meltdown, Asad said that the country’s economic situation cannot be improved until election was held because those seized the power through foreign conspiracy was responsible for the current mess up. Therefore, he said that they neither had the ability and capacity nor will to pull the country out of this prevailing crises.

Asad said that the mission of IMF was in Pakistan presently, but strange stories were being told on TV about the economic crisis, as the imported government shifted the blame onto Imran Khan-led government but ground situation spoke otherwise, as the country’s economy was booming, remittances witnessed considerable spike while industrial and crops productions were exemplary well.

However, he said that the imported government came through regime change conspiracy reversed all PTI’s hard-gains and dived deep the country into the whirlwind of problems.

Asad went on to say that the imported government blamed Imran Khan’s deal with the IMF but reality was that they inked a deal with the financial body in September-last and the even IMF released fund afterward. However, he said that the country’s economy suffered due to the flawed economic policies of the inapt imported government and the infighting between Miftah Ismail and Ishaq Dar. Asad stated that Dar claimed that he would steer the country out of the prevailing crisis without the IMF’s deal and even started hurling open threat to the financial body because he was only interested to replace Miftah.

Talking about the Insaaf Doctors Forum (IDF) countrywide membership campaign, he said that Imran Khan invited all healthcare workers to play their role in serving the country and nation by becoming a part of the forum. He said that the process of registration of the forum was quite simple and easy. Asad said that PTI Chairman believed that policies should be formulated with inputs of best professionals that was the reason the IDF inputs were always included in the health policy formulation in PTI governments in the center as well as in the provinces

Therefore, he advised the health professionals that it was a best forum for them to utilize their best expertise and knowledge by becoming part of the forum where they could play their role in important policy formulations and decisions making of the country.
