Govt & former ruling parties of opposition bowing before global colonial powers & int’l institutions on a common & agreed basis: Liaqat Baloch

LAHORE, Feb 02 (SABAH): Deputy Chief of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Liaqat Baloch has said that the government and the former ruling parties of the opposition are bowing before the global colonial powers and the international colonial institutions on a common and agreed basis. The heights that the PTI government has wreaked havoc on the national economy include the military regimes, the PPP and the Muslim League. The people expected that the Imran Khan government would adopt a style of self-reliance, self-confidence and Islamic economic system, but the PTI government has gone to extremes of incompetence, cowardice and destruction. Matters of passing SBP and Mini Budget Bills in the Senate have been shrouded in the absence of Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, Leader of the Opposition in the Senate. This is the connivance of the former ruling parties of the government and the opposition.

Liaqat Baloch said that former Chief Justice of Pakistan Gulzar Ahmed has retired. He did not take any good name with him. Every Chief Justice retires after completion of his tenure but it is a tragedy that every incoming Chief Justice is not learning from the past mistakes of the judiciary and the mistrust, flaws, public distrust in the justice system is increasing. The gulf between the bar and the bench is widening. The inclination and imbalance of the judiciary in accountability and state affairs is increasing the problems for the judiciary itself. The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and the Chief Justices of the High Courts should respond positively to the public sentiments for the reforms of the justice system.

Liaqat Baloch said that global inflation cannot be ignored but the incompetence of the government of Pakistan, mismanagement, inexperience, “go slow” policy of the bureaucracy, uncertainty on the political and state fronts, the Prime Minister’s style of governing are the major causes of disaster. With no writ of the federal and provincial governments, the administrative structure has been made vital for the people. The hoarders, corrupt mafia, the constant rise in production costs have become a death knell for the people. The government remains the godfather of the mafia against the people.
